In order to enhance quality and safety, Article Five of the regulation calls for textile products offered in the Kingdom’s markets to meet the specifications requirements for safety, consumer health, and environmental preservation, in light of the damage that can be caused by product accessories, such as buttons, ropes, and threads in children’s clothing, and the damage that materials can cause. Used in fire-resistant products, as well as the damage that can be caused by the chemicals used in the manufacture of textile products, and verifying that these chemicals do not leak or transfer from them to the skin or to the environment, during use, maintenance, cleaning and washing.
